There are life lessons that children of all ages and abilities
can learn about themselves and each other through climbing. The Urban Core Climbing Summer Camp Series is an alternative and progressive summer camp program that gives young climbers a chance to sharpen their skills, meet new people, and most importantly, have fun. We stress safety awareness, cooperative group dynamics, and promote personal responsibility in a safe experientiallearning environment. The UCC Summer Camp Series offers a full itinerary of recreational and instructional
programs to help every young rock climber meet individual goals.
Our Purpose
Urban Core Climbing, powered by ExperientialLife, is an independently owned and operated adventure service provider with a specialty in rock climbing instruction, coaching, training as well as challenge course facilitation. The focus of the company caters to experientially based programs for children and young adults. Our Summer Rock Climbing Camp Series aims to expose kids to the basic skills and life lessons of rock climbing. Urban Core Climbing Programs are holistic and progressively about self confidence, teamwork, communication, diversity, establishing goals and working towards them. In our unique setting, our students experience more sharply the results of their own actions. They meet challenges, experience difficulties, and exult in success. Empowered by their own personal experience, they come away stronger, better focused, and ready to meet change and challenge in their daily lives.
Our Staff
The Urban Core Climbing staff is supportive and encouraging. We deeply believe in the power of adventure to enrich and guide young lives. It is our task to make that experience happen in constructive and nourishing ways. Our camp staffers are more than just guides -- they are role models. All are mature, outgoing, and committed to the UCC purpose. We build on their rich personal experience with extensive staff training. We strive, by role modeling and direct action, to teach the importance of passion and integrity in our daily lives, hoping that our future leaders will be able to make decisions that come from their hearts as well as their minds. All staff members have First Aid/CPR certification and our senior guide has college degrees in education, and is certified by the AMGA and Wilderness First Responders.
The Facility
At the indoor walls, we can control the climbing climate and climbing terrain, ensuring that each child can progress in a controlled environment where we can give the attention, guidance, and instruction they need to succeed. Indoor Urban Core Climbing programs are held in various host facilities in the southeast including Adrenaline Climbing Gym and WallCrawler Rock Club. The environments are clean and operated in a safe and professional manner.
